Visit Malta

The Maltese archipelago lies at the centre of the Mediterranean. Malta is the largest island and the cultural, gastronomic and historical centre. Gozo is the second-largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture. Comino the smallest of the trio, and famous for its crystal blue waters.

Malta is a uniquely charming holiday destination with a lot to see and do. Its size makes it easy to explore, and with over 300 days of sunshine, Malta is a year round destination and perfect for winter breaks.

The English-speaking islands are just over 3 hours away, with a large selection of direct flights from across the UK, and accommodation for all budgets.

Why Travel To Malta?

With over 7000 years of history and host to three UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Maltese Islands have been described as one big open-air museum.

The narrow, meandering streets of Malta’s ancient towns and villages are crowded with Renaissance cathedrals and Baroque palaces, while the countryside is dotted with the oldest known structures in the world.

What's More...

Diving

Malta is consistently voted one of the best diving destinations in the World, there’s a vast array of dive sites, with many operators offering the chance to undertake a PADI course.

Gastronomy

The Maltese take their food seriously! Traditional Maltese food is rustic and based on the seasons. Look out for Lampuki Pie (fish pie), Rabbit Stew, Bragioli (beef olives) and Kapunata (the Maltese version of ratatouille).

Driving

The Maltese drive on the left, due to Malta’s historical links with Great Britain. We’ve explored the Island by car many times and certain attractions are better accessed with one’s own car as many sites are not accessible by public transport.

Special Groups

There really is something for everyone and every day on the Islands. For those seeking out historical and cultural experiences, to those visitors who want to swim, cycle, golf, dive or hike – Malta, Gozo, and Comino are waiting to be explored.
