Hurtigruten

An integral part of Norwegian life since 1893. Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express is a historic voyage that’s been at the heart of everyday life and loved by locals for generations. Sailing daily from Bergen up to Kirkenes and back, their fleet of modestly sized ships gets close to the coast, and access to small, remote communities that the larger ships can’t reach.

With a smaller size ship comes a more intimate experience and one-of-a-kind opportunity to get an authentic glimpse into Norwegian culture, and the communities living at the 34 ports Hurtigruten visits.

Their voyages journey along 2,500 nautical miles of some of the most stunning scenery you’ve ever seen. Norway’s world-famous fjords will be on full display, dotted with farms and charming fishing villages.

Why Cruise with Hurtigruten?

Each time of the year boasts a completely different experience; from the Northern Lights in winter to the Midnight Sun in summer and three seasons in one voyage during spring. It’s always a good time to head on a Hurtigruten Coastal voyage.

You can do the northbound voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes over seven days one time, and the six-day south voyage another. They also offer short two to five-day voyages and specific port-to-port bookings.
