Trafalgar has recently launched a new and unique MAKE TRAVEL MATTER™ experience featuring a visit to a local bee farm in Delphi. Trafalgar travellers will meet passionate beekeeper Nikiforos, who offers a taste of his special thyme honey, renowned for its nutritional value. Guests will observe bees thriving in their natural habitat and learn about their crucial role in nature regeneration. Delphi, traditionally a beekeeping area, has seen a decline in bee populations, leading to a significant loss of biodiversity. Through their efforts, Nikiforos and his family are reviving this local tradition, directly contributing to land regeneration and supporting ecological balance. This activity is part of Trafalgar’s commitment to responsible tourism, providing travellers with meaningful interactions that support local communities and promote environmental stewardship.
This experience can be found on two Trafalgar tours, the Best of Greece and the Secrets of Greece.
