Was treated to a meal in this Japanese restaurant that, despite many visits to Baku, I didn’t know existed and – if you look at the photo of the doorway you’ll see that it doesn’t exactly shout out at you!
Service and meal were excellent – and my host assures me that their prices are very reasonable for this quality of food.
We shared ‘sushi’ type starters of beef and tuna; followed by crispy seafood salads, tiger prawns, and ‘black cod’ – all of which were of a very high standard of freshness, taste and quality.
Although referring to itself as an ‘izakaya’ – implying informal bar that serves food (as is the case downstairs) – the upstairs is clearly a restaurant in its own right.
I’ll be visiting this one again!
