While staying with relatives in Dubai we wanted to celebrate our 46th Wedding anniversary with a nights stay at a good hotel but instead discovered not a good hotel but a GREAT hotel!! Feels like a 5 star & great value & room rate during Ramadan. The executive suite was outstanding with every amenity imaginable. The staff very, very friendly & ALL went over & above, nothing was too much trouble. The ‘Sol Sky Bar’ with pool was outstanding & the two bar staff on duty Juliano & Baher were excellent both very friendly, chatty & made some fine cocktails. Breakfast very, very good & Chef Priyantha makes the best ever marsala omelet which is to be recommended. The location is in the embassy area which is up & coming & right on the creek with loads of restaurants & eating places & fancy boats berthed along with interesting water traffic passing by & at night all the boats are lit up. A recommended walk of about 1.5k along the creek you will arrive at the Abras to get over the Creek to Gold & spice Souks (be sure to take furthest Abra to get to the Souks). I know it was for only one night but all in all one of the best hotel stays we have ever had anywhere. By the way, thank you ‘Zabeel House’ management for the cake in the room along with a personal note welcoming us on our anniversary……Nice touch!!
