I visited the Castle Museum after renewing my YMT card in June. After trudging through a rain soaked York I showed my card to the assistant who announced to the multitude that, “this card expired in February”. I tried to show her the debit from my account in June but she was totally disinterested and told me to go back to the Art Gallery and “let them sort it out”. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat paying customers but fairly typical of customer facing council employees unfortunately. Needless to say, I shall not be renewing next June.
