The pub/restaurant is located in a village opposite a large common with graded walks. It is next to a derelict windmill, hence the name and there is a bowling green at the rear.
The pub/upstairs restaurant is popular with all ages, staff are pleasant and the food is consistently good whether from the usual menu or off the ‘specials board’.
