I stayed in Room 1, which is located at the front of the hotel with two flights of stairs. All the accommodation is located on the first floor and no lift is available.
The king size bed was very comfortable with four large pillows and a throw. The large shower had lots of hot water and the towels were soft (two small hand towels and two large bath towels – which wrapped around my size 10 daughter easily but as a larger lady, a bath sheet would have been nicer but for one night you could say I am being picky…)
As it was a warm night we had the window open and could hear the occasional passing car and trains and woke to beautiful bird song.
On check in we were asked what time we wanted breakfast and precisely at 10am there was a knock on the door- breakfast was left outside on a stool. Two large bowls of fresh fruits, two yoghurts, two plain bagels, two pain-au-chocolate, two croissants and two muffins together with pots of fresh cream and Tipton strawberry jam and a large jug of fresh orange juice. Two pots of cereal were already in the room and a jug of milk was also delivered.
Cereal bars and some delicious gingerbread men were also in the room with a selection of coffees.
All in all a fabulous overnight stay and very good value – we will definitely stay again.
