Lunch at Y Bryn a’r Brogdy in Brynhoffnant between Aberaeron and Cardigan
This used to be the Brynhoffnant pub but has been closed for a few years. The new owners have completely changed the structure, inside and out, with a large glass-sided extension and balcony seating above the new outdoor bar.
We visited in September 2021, so the menu is limited to burgers and pizzas until the restaurant is fully finished. Freshly made pizzas are cooked in their own pizza oven outside, lovely thin crust and lots of toppings to choose from, so a great option for lunch in the autumn sunshine. A bucket of chips is also a useful addition.
An extra feature is the brewery they have established onsite. Several beers are available at the bar already with more being added. Eventually, they will do tours of the brewery so I will keep an eye open for when these are available. As there is also a local small gin distillery down the road, it may have to be a tasting day via public transport.
It is in a good location on the main coast road along Cardigan Bay. It is closed on Mondays but otherwise open between 12 pm and 10 pm, so worth a stop en-route.
Prices: £11.99 pizza/ £3.45 chips to share/ glass of wine £2.75-£5.50/ a range of prices for the beers
