We travelled as family of 4 adults and stayed at Orlando International Resort Club for 10 nights in January 2017. We booked a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was up one flight of stairs and the accommodation was on two levels. The apartment was spotlessly clean although there were a few odd marks on the carpet in the lounge. There were also some repairs to the bath in the ensuite bathroom. One weekend was unseasonably cold and the heating system worked very well. The checkin at the resort office was very easy.
On the first floor there was a large open plan lounge with flat-screen TV and DVD player and a full size dining table and chairs. There was a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. A full kitchen with large american cooker and microwave full size fridge freezer and dishwasher. There was a breakfast bar and a small table in the kitchen area. There is also a shower-room and toilet on this floor ideal is you were using the sofa as an extra bed.
On the second floor there was a large master bedroom with dressing area and large shower room. The second bedroom had twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath. There is also a full washing machine and dryer between the two bedrooms.
There was loads of space to stretch out after a hard days shopping or theme parking. The resort has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi and a gym. If you are staying for more than 4 days you can request a towel bedding change. If you want full daily cleaning they charge extra. Free WiFi was limited to 4 devices and was adequate. You can upgrade to higher speed and more devices for about £5 a day.
Location was perfect for us the resort is less than 10 minutes drive to Universal, less than 5 minutes to the Outlet Malls, about 35 minutes from Disney, about 10 minutes from Mall at Millenia and 15 minutes from Florida Mall. There are a few places to eat within a 10 minute walk, Thai Silk was very good and Sweet Tomatoes (unlimited salad buffet) is always a firm family favourite. There is also a good Spanish Supermarket and two petrol stations within a few minutes walk for breakfast essentials.
There are no theme park shuttles but the iDrive trolley stops right outside the resort. It is possible to walk to Universal in about 25 minutes to avoid the $20 dollar car park charge.
In summary this is not a luxury resort but it more than met our needs it was cheaper than 2 hotel rooms in a 2 star hotel on International Drive with the benefit of all the extra space and self catering facilities. Our apartment would have been fine for a family of six.
