Wood Advent Farm is about 200 years old with plenty of character and luxuriously furnished. It is surrounded by marvellous country side. Diane is the most obliging hostess, providing chocolate cake and tea on arrival as part of the welcome. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The room was lovely. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt etc followed by a huge farmhouse breakfast with the food cooked exactly how you like it. We only had one night and mean to stay longer next time. It is 8 miles from Minehead and as well as the coast there are villages with thatched cottages, Cleeve Abbey, Dunster castle and a railway museum. Sort out the route from Roadwater because the satnav directions aren't helpful. There is a narrow lane up to the farmhouse but you soon get there except when driving behind a pheasant!!
The farm website is excellent. The place certainly deserves its 4 star luxury description.
