I was the lucky winner of a fantastic 6 night stay in the wonderful Coombe Villa near Turo in Cornwall.
The house is part of a unique selection of cottages owned by Tregothnan Estate. The house is on the banks of the river Fal. The river is tidal, with swans, ducks and all manner of fish. All over the estate are orchards of apples, pears and plums. You are encouraged to forage!
The house has a log fire, wooden floors, comfy furniture and a welcome gift of chocolate and tea from the Tregothnan tea plantation.
I went with my sister, and we had a wonderful time. We went to Turo, got a ferry from Falmouth to St. Maws. Drove across to St Ives and generally chilled in the quietest most relaxed place possible.
