Relaxation

We chose this hotel on the recommendation of friends who had stayed here on six previous occasions and who were there when we arrived. They had recommended a stay in a bungalow and we were allocated number 53. It was some walk away from the main hotel in well kept grounds. The grounds are a bit up hill and down dale but the hotel website makes it very clear that it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. I, for one, was glad of the exercise having eaten far too much of the very good and plentiful food offered at breakfast and dinner. There was always a good choice of Greek and international food. Some of the choices seemed odd, but overall quality and choice was excellent. Lunch could be taken instead of evening meal. Most times though we ate a snack at the beach bar. Back to the room. Kept spotlessly clean by an army of friendly staff, the room was modern with a king-sized bed, large screen TV, tea/coffee facilities and a large modern bathroom with his and her sinks. It was a bit odd having a clear window between the bathroom and bedroom area but not a problem for us. The patio doors led to a large terrace with table and chairs and a step down into a garden area with loungers. The step was too high and we made comment of this to the hotel. We had an uninterrupted sea view. The public areas are spacious and modern. There was a choice of bars serving a good choice of drinks. Prices were what is expected in a hotel but not too expensive. The lobby bar had a large terrace where one could watch the wonderful sunsets before going down to the restaurant for dinner. All the staff are extremely friendly as well as efficient and one is always greeted with a smile. The private beach is ok but the public beaches on the other side of the hotel are more sandy with easier and less rocky access to the sea. This wasn't a problem for us but others found it to be troublesome. This is a very good hotel indeed on a lovely peaceful island and we are really pleased our friends invited us to join them for this superb holiday.
