My friend and I booked an afternoon tea at this beautiful hotel set back from the lovely gardens lining the side of Lord Street, the main shopping Street. We sat in the window where later on we had a great view of the many beautifully lit trees, some with trunks entirely wrapped in fairy lights. The tea was delicious a selection of sandwiches, 4 types of cake each and scrumptious cream cakes. We had a pot of tea and added a excellent glass of wine each. (Never having had lunch here we looked at the menu and it was exceptionally good and very reasonable.) We followed our tea with a trip to the Retreat, the in house spa for massages and facials. Just wonderful. I’ll certainly go back. Thoroughly recommend this place.
