Reasons for trip

I had 3 days in Washington DC and stayed at the Harrington Hotel. The good news is that the hotel is ideally situated to access all the tourist sites on foot. A comfortable walk to the Capital Building, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, Union Station and the Smithsonian. The Hotel provides an excellent buffet breakfast which includes French bread, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, toast, English muffins, juice and coffee! The hotel caters for all ages with school groups in evidence. My bedroom had a double bed and the ensuite had bath/shower option. I must say that the shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. The bad news is that the hotel is looking a bit tired and would benefit from fresh paint and new carpets. Also, I missed having a teasmaid!
The television didn’t work however it was sorted immediately on informing reception – in fact, the repairman was already in the room when I stepped off the lift! The airport is about an hour drive from the hotel and I walked everywhere however being the capital taxies were in evidence. I would definitely stay again should the opportunity arise.
