Relaxation

We definately had a holiday of a lifetime when we stayed at the Voyager Beach Resort. Some people may find the ship theme a bit tacky but we definitely didn't. Each night the hotel served food that originated in the country we were 'docking' in and this gave great variety. We even got to sit at the captain's table one night which was great fun and really gave us an insight into life in Kenya as we got to ask the captain lots of questions. The hotel is stunning although you do need to accept that it's not five star i.e. rough around the edges in places. The white sand beach is also stunning although the beach boys trying to sell things to you all the time can wear you down. The adults pool overlooking the beach really let us relax and enjoy the scenery. We also enjoyed watching the resident monkeys in action, although do be careful where you leave your smalls. All the staff in the hotel were incredibly friendly and you would always get a 'jambo' when then walked past. This really was a holiday to remember and we really hope we can return one day.
