Reasons for trip

Good location with lots of parking but outside of Headingley to the North of Leeds. There’s easy access to Harrogate. There’s a bus service outside on the road into Leeds (recommended as parking is a big hassle!).

The room was functional and comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant the first night – and took advantage of a 2 dine for £29 deal which included 2 courses and a glass of fizz each. Staff were friendly and the food was good.

There’s a good sized pool and gym. The pool has a disabled hoist.

Breakfast the first morning was a bit ropey – we went down at 9 am – breakfast ended at 9.30 – but the food had almost ran out. They did eventually replenish, but they need to keep their eye on the ball. The second day was better. I was disappointed to see lots of little plastic individual servings of jam being used.

Overall, if you get a good deal, its a nice hotel in a decent location.

There are lots of bars and restaurants in Headingley.

We visited the Armouries Museum one day which was excellent, then Harrogate. The next day we visited Otley which is a lovely little town, and Skipton as we headed home.
