If you’re looking for an affordable, convenient but peaceful hotel to spend a few nights, close to Venice but away from the maelstrom of tourists that descend on the great city, look no further than Villa Odino. It is situated between Venice & both Marco Polo & Treviso Airports in its own grounds on the banks of the meandering River Sile. They have their own shuttle bus which takes you to or meets you from the local train station, where there are regular trains directly into the main station in Venice. There is a large onsite outdoor swimming pool in the jasmine scented garden & lots of shaded areas to relax in whilst they allow you to use their bicycles for free if you fancy a more energetic hour or so on the traffic free riverside cycle path. The rooms are traditionally decorated with excellent beds & great air conditioning & they have their own on site restaurant where you can dine al fresco in the garden during the balmy evenings & for breakfast too. There’s decent wifi which works round the pool too.
Best of all is the price. We paid € 89 B&B, which is outstanding for this true haven. Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor.
