We were fortunate enough to win this holiday following my first review on joining Silver Travel Advisor last year. It was provided by CV Travel (Corfu Villas) – for which many thanks! The directions provided from the airport in our hired car were very clear and helpful and we were delighted to find a villa that completely met its brochure description – indeed the level of equipment exceeded our expectations and it was all in very good condition. The pool was delightful and maintained every few days. It was just a short stroll to the centre of the fishing village of St Stephano in the north-east of the island (and a short drive from Kassiopi), which is really unspoilt; even the 5 very welcome tavernas are entirely in keeping. The rep arranged a lovely welcome party one evening in a village bar (with plenty of food and wine), where we able to meet other villa occupants – and subsequently visit them for BBQ lunch or coffee. The weather in late May was mixed (and nowhere near as hot and dry as England was at the same time!!), but we had several days when sunbathing around the pool was all we wanted to do. One tip – you can see (and visit) Albania and you have to be careful that your mobile phone hasn't switched to an Albanian signal, which provides MUCH more expensive calls and texts (being outside the EU). Overall the holiday provided us with a great break and we'd certainly consider travelling with CV again.
