So lucky to have won a Silver Travel Advisor competition for this holiday provided by CV Travel and special thanks to CV who kindly adjusted the holiday dates to suit us when we had a clash of dates. CV Travel staff were helpful at the airport and the holiday started well with amazing directions to the villa from the airport – far better than those provided by a well known timeshare company! The villa had its own pool and orange tree – what more do you want than lying by the pool eating a freshly picked orange? The village of St Stefano is a two minute walk away and consists of a couple of small supermarkets, a gift shop and in particular 5 tavernas, most of which we tried and the food was delicious. We arrived at lunchtime and sat in Taverna Galini watching an amazing electrical storm while having a drink. The weather luckily improved for the rest of the week and we were able to explore the north part of Corfu which is mostly unspoiled and full of beautiful bays overlooking Albania. There is a pretty walk along the cliff path if you walk past the Eucalyptus Taverna at the end of St Stefano. We had a great week in a beautiful village, the villa was lovely, tavernas welcoming and food delicious – thanks again Silver Travel Advisor and CV Travel.
