I stayed at this hotel at the end of August 2014. Overall I had a lovely time but although the food was excellent I felt the dining room layout reminded me of a school canteen. This, like the other hotel there on the beach caters (along with apartments) for about 700 people. I felt stressed out when I left breakfast. The restaurant is very large and whilst I appreciate with a buffet there is a lot of tooing and froing to collect different dishes the tables were laid out with little space in between and I was forever asking people to pull in their chairs so I could actually get where I needed to go for food. I was also ticked off one morning by the waiter as he didn't realised after one plateful I was going for more and so reset the table. I don't like being ticked off by anyone on holiday, let alone any other time. This restaurant needs a complete re-think. I like to wake up to food by water, be it by a swimming pool or at least outside, but here there is just the road at the side of the hotel.
Having said that I found the entertainment fascinating and 10 out of 10 to Tony the Italian as he made us all laugh with the aqua salsa and aqua gymnastics. I wouldn't have thought I could even have a go at Salsa but it was infectious and I tried the Zumba too and the water polo was really fun to watch. I watched the entertainment on the first night for a short time, but not impressed.
The rooms on the other hand were excellent, no complaints at all, although you could be overlooked into your room by the people in the apartments opposite if staying in the hotel. 10 out of 10 to my lovey chambermaid who was excellent.
10 out of 10 too to the lovely receptionists, all of them, who, although I felt well overworked there was nothing too much trouble.
