In January before the epidemic I booked with Expedia for 5 nights in a boutique B&B in Verona. It was lovely well located. Verona is a beatiful town with lots to see and do but I guess very crowded in the summer! It easy to jump on the train and I went to Mantua, a must see quiet backwater with 2 amazing palaces and Vincenzia with all its buildings by Palladio.
