We went on this trip as part of a cruise excursion. We were taken to the Uvero Beach Club to pick up our two-seater speed boats for a drive on the Caribbean Sea. We received a safety speech & all our snorkeling equipment including a brand new snorkel tube for hygiene purposes. We then learnt how to manoeuvre our boat, as well as receiving a life vest. The boats are modestly powerful but enough to have a bit of fun as we followed our guide (along with about 15 other boats) along the coastline to a floating platform where you dock your boat for snorkelling. We had about 45 minutes of guided snorkeling along the reef edge. The sea was beautifully clear & although it was probably not the best reef I've seen, it was quite interesting. After that it was back in the boats & back to the beach where (included in our tour) was a couple of hours to take full advantage of Uvero Beach Club where there were loungers, hammocks, a bar, restaurant & toilet facilities. The staff were all very pleasant & helpful, although I always find it a bit over the top when someone is in the gents with you, handing you paper towels after you wash your hands. There are showers there as well. Waiter are around to serve you drinks to you loungers if you wish. Really good trip.
