We stayed at the Urban, just outside Grantham, using a discount voucher but will be staying again booking directly. Previously a Ramada hotel, it is located just off the A1 on the edge of the town. We found the hotel clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room, on the ground floor, was large and well equipped and the staff were quick to respond to any requests for extras. The food was good and well priced and the drinks, in the lovely airy lounge, were not at inflated prices as in some hotels. Breakfast was self service with enough choice to suit all tastes and served over a long period of time. There is a small gym and spa with a teeny pool and jacuzzi for those who want to cool off. The location is ideal for visiting a range of castles, gardens and other attractions within an hours drive, as well as the town of Grantham itself. There is a large shopping centre north of the town, again on the A1, which is popular with visitors. We enjoyed a comfortable stay and will return.
