Relaxation

There are now a number of Tune hotels in London and they are well worth consideration. We stayed in the Liverpool Street hotel. This chain is very, very inexpensive and you only pay for what you use. If you don't want to watch tv – you aren't charged for it. However, extras (like a towel) are incredibly reasonable. We often just want somewhere clean, comfortable and quiet to sleep with a very clean bathroom and good shower. This hotel ticked all those boxes. We chose a room without a window and thought that may be a little strange but then it is common on ships. We didn't miss it (we were only in the room at night and first thing in the morning) and of course, the bonus was we weren't paying for a window (again a bit like a cruise). The bed was great and the bathroom perfect. A bonus was a lovely large outside courtyard where I had my morning coffee. I took a travel kettle but hot drinks and snacks were available from reception. Positives: exactly what we paid for, clean, super shower, very comfortable bed with high quality sheets and pillows, very conveniently located for an unbelievably low price. The room temperature was very good as was the air conditioning. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Negative: very limited space with only a tiny area for hanging clothes. Not much room to get around the bed, no chair and just a tiny fold down desk. However, we knew this in advanced and it was not a problem. Bonus: Lovely airy courtyard. Opposite is an unusual and very interesting private museum (by appointment only), well worth booking a tour. It is only a short walk between the building to the shops and restaurants of Spittalfields market. The options for scoring do not have the choice to say we didn't try something. Therefore I have listed them as good. We did not eat at the hotel so can't comment on the snack and we did not review limited mobility facilities.
