This is a beautiful site with gently undulating grassland and many, many trees. Lots of room for children to run about and play. It has been run by John Fowlers for some 20 years and is very well kept with some pleasant gardens near the main house (which was the residence of Bishop Trelawny), some parts of which date back to 1450, and this contains a bar, separate entertainment lounge and a cafe. In the grounds there are tennis courts, table tennis tables, miniature golf and an indoor pool, together with a fishing lake. The self-catering caravans have lovely views, and the staff on site are extremely helpful. Trelawne is only 2 miles from picturesque Looe, where there are beaches and very many places to eat. There is also an extremely good pub about half a mile up the road. A wonderful base from which to explore all that Cornwall has to offer, and the Eden Project is not too far from here.
