The Travelodge was a bit difficult to find at first as it was situated behind the Premier Inn!! Our room on the 2nd floor was large, clean & spacious with a good sized bathroom. The shower was one of the best we have ever had in this standard of hotel! The shower cubicle was large (with a built in seat which would be good for people who find standing difficult) & the shower was powerful too. It was good to find full size bath sheets rather than the standard sized bath towels. We did experience some noise on our 2nd night from the external AC fans but none at all from the adjacent M5. The staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful – even getting us proper wine glasses so we didn't have to use the plastic ones in the room – very good considering we hadn't bought the wine from them! The only negative was that we were told it was within easy walking distance of the beautiful Tewkesbury Abbey (was told approx 15 mins) but I walk fast and this definitely wasn't the case unless they knew a short cut!! But it wasn't a problem as parking near the Abbey was plentiful and quite cheap. We usually prefer to book Premier Inns but this was by far the best Travelodge and if they were all like this would give Premier Inns a run for their money!!
