This is a good location, just off the A9/M90 junction on the south west side of Perth. It is next to a Harvester and Macdonalds and, at the bottom of the hill, is a petrol station with small Spar shop attached.
The building is beginning to show its age with black marks on the external white plastered walls. Inside it could do with a deep clean and redecoration.
We were given a ground floor room at the back of the building. It was very quiet and away from traffic noise. It was the usual rather spartan Travelodge room with a double bed and small shelf on either side. There was long working area but only one chair. The second person had to sit on the bed. There was a small hanging area but no-where to put a suitcase off the floor.
It had a large shower rather than a bath. A hand and bath towel were provided for each person but the towels were thin and did get wet quickly. There was no soap provided but fortunately I had come prepared with extra so we didn’t bother to go and ask reception for soap.
There was a kettle with a supply of tea bags, coffee and UHT milk.
On the plus side, lighting in the room was good.
As usual there was no bath mat and only plastic mugs rather than glasses.
Full price this is expensive for what is provided. The main thing going for it is its location.
