A new hotel right in the centre of Lewisham High Street, south of the river with great transport links direct into Central London. The hotel is sited about 5 minutes walk from Lewisham Station with excellent National Rail and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) links. Direct DLR service to Bank in the centre of London.
Lewisham Market is located on the High Street. The market is open every day, has an abundant of fruit stalls, fishmongers, clothes shops and just about anything. Prices are great value. Lewisham Shopping Centre is located between the hotel and the station. Over 65 shops in the centre.
The hotel has an attractive Bar Café on the first floor. Plenty of cafes ,many with excellent breakfast menus, restaurants and a Wetherspoon inside 2 minutes walk so i chose these as the value was fantastic.
The Travelodge Plus hotel has intercom to enter for entrance for reception on the first floor. Check-in was very fast. The staff were very polite. The key card enabled entry and exit without the need to see the staff again. No need for checkout, just a box to put the key card near the exit.
The room was a dream for any train spotter. Trains constantly passing the window in both directions. Total soundproofing so not even a slight noise in the room. Best i have experienced.
Very comfortable king sized bed. Blackout curtains meant total darkness. Had to open the curtains a little for a bit of light.
A total of 4 USB charging points and 7 power sockets meant more than anyone could ever need.
As with a new hotel the bathroom was spotless. The kettle & TV were in excellent working condition.
A great nights sleep and no issues at all.
