This is probably the best (though dearest) Travelodge I've stayed in – but is is in walking distance of many London attractions (which wasn't the reason for our visit!) and other places cost notably more. Room was more modern and fresh than others of the same 'label' and, although not cheap, it was reasonable for the location. Shower room a bit cosy, but clean. The breakfast was adequate, and the staff were working hard to keep tables clear for new guests (the staff have to be commended here – they were clearly working well in a busy environment and handled the pressure well). Breakfast room was a bit 'canteen' like – but that makes it easy to know you're eating off a clean table! Old Vic theatre is just along the road in the direction of Waterloo Station and underground – beyond that is the South Bank entertainment complex – and across Waterloo Bridge you're into 'theatreland' proper, if you like. London Eye and the parliament buildings all reasonably close.
