This was the most comfortable hotel we have stayed in London for the price. Price was very competative as we booked in advance and got a cheap rate. Basic but very clean and breakfast was good with a reasonable amount of choice and all you can eat buffet. We have stayed in lots of more expensive London hotels with shabbier rooms and worse food by far. Staff were very friendly and helpful both to our grandchildren and to disabled guests we saw who needed help. You feel very safe in the hotel which is important to me in central London for a good nights sleep! There are always plenty of staff aound if you require any assistance and they were also knowledgable about the area and attractions. Only 5 min walk to Waterloo station, 10 min walk to London Eye and the Thames. Marks and Spencer’s food store and Subway Food shop close by and numerous fast food outlets so eating cheaply was not a problem. Your just a few minutes from the buzz and throng of the city but a slight distance enough away for peace and calm that we require after a day’s sightseeing. Would recommend no problem and will definately stay there next time we visit London. The room is basic and comfortable which is what we required and the ethos of Travelodge’s company. If you wanted beautiful views and antiques in the room then this is not the hotel for you but get out your credit card if that is yoyr choice in London.
