I had seen the old black and white film starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and I thought the stage musical would be a bit old hat (not a pun). How wrong could I be. Top Hat turned out to be thoroughly entertaining. The dancing, especially the tap dancing, the singing, the costume, the set design, everything absolutely everything about this show is top class. It kept me enchanted throughout. One of my friends needed assistance and the staff pulled out all the stops to ensure her night was one to remember. There was special access to her seat and a member of staff was on hand to give assistance as required. During intermission the staff came to ensure everything was well and when the show was over, made sure we were able to leave quickly. All the staff were polite, professional and helpful. The Aldwych theatre is located on Aldwych a very busy road, even so , we were able to find a parking close by. Highly recommeneded.
