I won a one night stay here and we decided to pay for an extra night. There are two rates b&b and dinner b&b. The rates were charged per room and dinner either paid for a three course meal in The Lawns restaurant or have a £30 allowance per head in the bar/grill – tapas or main courses. Excellent food in both places but for my money The Lawns was better value by far.
The Hotel is about 30 minutes from Chester so there are not many options for eating elsewhere.
Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village is 20 minutes away and well worth a visit. Lots of bargains so it can prove expensive.
We also used the spa facilities and had a massage each. Because we were staying in the hotel there was a 10% discount on the Spa treatment prices. Best part of my massage was it took place on a heated massage table.
The rooms were large and quiet – despite the fact that there were weddings going on nearby on both nights. Big bath with a shower above. A proper Coffee machine- operated using pods – was in the room and they delivered jugs of fresh milk whenever we wanted them.
The gardens are beautifully landscaped with interesting topiaries around the grounds.
All in all a great place to visit for a quiet break.
