We stayed here 4 years ago as it is convenient for visiting our daughter and family in Sheffield. With the lifting of lockdown and my daughter being off work this weekend we took the opportunity to visit and, as she does not have a spare room, we decided to go back to Thorndene again. It was very convenient as the road outside goes straight into Sheffield near our daughters house. The accommodation is well laid out as there are only 3 rooms, although only 2 are in use at present owing to Covid 19 restrictions. We had a spacious bedroom with an ensuite down 2 steps from the bedroom with a walk in shower. The last time we stayed we were in the other front bedroom, which had a shower over the bath. We enjoyed an excellent cooked breakfast each day, but there was the option of cereals and yogurt etc as well if preferred. Our host, John, was very friendly and most helpful at all times.
