I have to say that my wife and I found the hotel very clean and comfortable with excellent spa and swimming facilities. The deluxe accommodation was warm comfortable and very pleasantly decorated. The staff were pleasant and could not do enough for us during our stay. We arrived on Friday afternoon, where the check in was managed very efficiently, and the rest of the weekend followed a similar fashion. A downside of the hotel is the bar area, which we found very sterile and lacking in atmosphere, however the restaurant and staff were outstanding and the food superb. The full English breakfast, was provided in a unhurried fashion, well cooked and plentiful (just as we like it). The hotel is only 10 minutes from the historic Cheltenham Town Center and the area is peppered with cute historic buildings and exudes an air of cosmopolitan confidence, This 18th-century spa town is a little slice of rustic heaven on a plate. We found the area was a dream as a short-break destination. The only negative I could point at was that we set the hotel location into out Tom Tom, but this only managed to get us to within about 1/2 mile of the hotel – a further 5 minutes was taken trying to find the hotel.
