It was a wonderful treat to relax in thermae warm water on the spa roof top looking over to Bath Abbey and the Bath skyline beyond. You have 2 hours included in your entry fee which although it seems expensive is well worth it as you can increase this to 3 hours by having some food in the cafe or buying an extra hour if you overrun by too much time. Showering and drying your hair afterwards can be done after the 2 hours included in the fee. We spent half our time in the roof top pool which is such a different experience, with jacuzzi like sessions about every 10 minutes in parts of the pool. It is not a swimming experience, more a relaxing one with floats to help you relax.
The lower pool has a convector current which you can float around on, which we thoroughly enjoyed plus a jacuzzi and lots of natural light – very well designed.
In the middle floor we tried infra red heat on the back, the relaxation lounge watching the star video and listening to relaxing music, steam room, Roman steam room etc all included and you can pay for other treatments which then means you have a time slot to go in.
Otherwise if you wish to have no queue to get in, arrive after 9am, and go mid week lunch times – we had no trouble getting in lunch time mid-week in June. I believe later on Fri and Sat are the busiest days.
