We stayed here for two nights either side of my daughter’s wedding. Ideally situated in London next to a busy road but SO quiet. Excellent double glazing, wooden shutters and blackout curtains.
Very comfy beds, beautiful rooms and great service. No kettles in rooms. Instead a complimentary drinks corner where you could help yourself. Tea , herbal teas, coffee, fresh milk, apples and biscuits. Perfectly acceptable to pad out there in dressing gowns. I didn’t think I’d like it but it worked well.
Fabulous breakfast. Everything you could think of! Dinner I found disappointing. Like many hotels these days, vegetables seem to be conspicuous by their absence. Very fancy expensive food. As it was late and tummies were churning a bit from nerves / excitement the staff were very good about turning our some simple delicious pastas , which was just what we needed, even though they were not on the menu. Coped well with a nut allergy as well.
Next door to the museum of St. John which is interesting, if it’s open, and a small peaceful garden.
Would recommend.
