The Wild Boar Inn Grill & Smokehouse

We booked a 3 day trip and when we arrived we were greeted and upgraded to a feature room. Apparently they do this if the hotel isn't full. The room was excellent and the ensuite had 2 showers although both of them were over the bath so if you find it difficult to get into a bath then you would encounter problems.The room was very clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities with the extra advantage of an iPod dock and a CD/DVD player. We went down to the restaurant and the dining room was old fashioned in a wonderful way and it gave off a wonderful atmosphere. The menu was varied and they do have their own smokehouse which offered even more choice of food. We had a great breakfast, fruits, cereals etc. and then waiter service for a great choice of either a traditional breakfast, smoked haddock to eggs benedict. All the staff were friendly, everywhere very clean and comfortable. I always ask myself would I go again, I most certainly would. Roll on the next time!
