Travelling from Flagstaff to Monument Valley was a real eye opener, and when we arrived the view was outstanding, after driving around the Valley we booked into The View and were allocated rooms overlooking the valley and were informed that the best view was at 630 Sunrise over the Valley. The rooms were quite basic but very in- keeping with the area, I believe The View was built by the Local Indians and they could not have chosen a better site, they have kept the whole Hotel looking very authentic. We used the Restaurant for all our meals which had a varied Menu from local Indian Stew to Beefburgers, you could not fault the Service or the Meal which was value for Money. The Beds were very comfortable and we woke early to see Sunrise, but the whole area was covered in thick fog a real Peasouper, but did not spoil a real eye opener of an Area for seeing all the various Rock Formations.
