The Spencer is a lovely 4* hotel on the banks of the river Liffey, in the Financial section of the city.
A clean, modern hotel with all the facilities one could need for a great city break. It even has a pool, gym and spa (though we didn’t use them).
Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights b&b in June in a very comfortable double room. The room was clean and well equipped and we even had air conditioning so we were always at a perfect temperature.
The buffet breakfast was superb with continental selection, cereals fruits and other healthy options and of course a comprehensive (very) full Irish breakfast selection.
All the hotel staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
Dublin is small and therefore Temple Bar, Trinity College etc etc were within easy walking distance of the hotel.
