Reasons for trip

We made our way through the black and white marque over the terrace out front, past the bar to the back and up the stairs for a quiet table at “The Slipway”:http://www.portisaachotel.com/ in Port Isaac for a Cornish cream tea in May. We secured a table and I went down to the bar to order four cream teas, one with a decaf latte instead of tea for me. No problem. With the Cornish friendliness and hospitality we were becoming accustomed to, one of the staff brought the heavily laden tray up to us. As you can see, the scones were a generous size (two each) and they were served with lashings of clotted cream and jam. Delicious! Check off another food must have for our trip to Cornwall.

If you watch Doc Martin, you’ll recognize this establishment down by the slipway into the harbour. They also have rooms for rent as B&B. I have seen mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but the bad reviews seem to be from a couple of years ago. We had no complaints.
