My pal and I went along on Saturday. This was our third visit to The Salt Cave. They recommend at least six visits here to improve your breathing, sinuses, etc. Children are taken here, they go in a separate room, with their parent.
When you go into entrance you are greeted by friendly receptionist who checks your card, and time of visit. You then proceed to locker room, when you leave your coat, scarf, etc.
You are given plastic hat and also plastic overshoes to wear.
The locker room is very cramped and they really need more space. There are only two toilets, one which is disabled. No shower etc.
They have plenty of magazines in the Salt Cave, and you sit in comfortable chairs and can put your legs on adjacent poffees. Salt is pumped out of ceiling and you are also given blankets in case you are cold. YOU KEEP YOUR CLOTHES ON AT ALL TIMES.
It is very slippery in the Cave, and you have to be careful walking about.
I find it very uplifting and I get sinus trouble so hopefully this can benefit me. Treatment is an hour long, and then lights go out and your time is finished.
I really think they need bigger premises, more toilets and would be really nice to have tea/coffee/cold drinks offered. You feel very thirsty afterwards, and also sometimes the salt stings my face. They do have water dispensers.
They have lots of offers and this month have get your first visit FREE if you book a series of visits. Its about £35 an hour.
My friend and I enjoy it, and its a good day out. Earlsfield has nice little shops and its somewhere we haven't been before we went to the 'Salt Cave'. Also good links to Waterloo, as right near the station.
