We chose this hotel because it is literally right next to York Railway Station and we were travelling by train. There is an entrance into the hotel directly from the station which helps with bags.

We had a room on the third floor with a beautiful view and it was so quiet and peaceful we never heard another guest.

The food was amazing and all the hotel staff could not do enough for you. They were all so polite and quick to clear tables etc at breakfast. They all took a genuine interest in us and were very helpful.

The hotel is only a short walk from the city and also close to the National Railway Museum and close to the river to enjoy the river cruise.
