Reasons for trip

The Boathouse is one of the coffee shops along the quay in East Looe overlooking the river as it runs out to the bay. It’s in one of the old stone buildings and looks quite charming.

We stopped in for coffee one Saturday morning as we were exploring Looe. It was a nice day in May so we opted to sit outside. The tables are across the pavement from the coffee shop. After placing our order we parked ourselves in the sun and the lovely staff brought our order out to us: lattes and Americanos. They were delicious and just what we needed to fortify ourselves for some more exploring. If you get any food, make sure you protect it from the vicious gulls – there are signs all over warning you about them.

There is no website but I’ve since checked out the food on TripAdvisor and it looks good, especially the afternoon teas. Definitely would make a return visit if in the area.
