Newly refurbished rooms and a 3 nights for the price of 2 encouraged us to have a short break on the east coast. This family run hotel has an award winning restaurant with a very high standard of food and a varied menu to cater for all tastes. No lunch is required after a hotel breakfast and the desserts are divine. The hotel caters for families and the elderly, although you do need to be able to climb stairs. This is a comfortable hotel with the feeling of a bygone age. It only has 7 ensuite rooms but is a coastal starting point to explore the Yorkshire Wolds, ideal for a short break and also an ideal base for a complete holiday. There are plenty of places to visit from stately homes, the North Beach at Bridlington to inland villages. Despite having no pool or internet access in rooms this hotel is charming and well situated.
