Arrived just after 6pm, poor welcome at reception, no words spoken only pointed and and then indicated to approach the desk. Poor start.
Got to room, clean with no complaints, bathroom smelled of smoke, did report to reception and they did try to clear but not to successfully.
When showering as no ventilation and no extraction system, condensation was a problem.
Hotel staff apart from initial welcome, very helpfull, on site Tick Toc Diner, good for tea/coffee and snacks, excellent bar.
Well situated, less than 200 yards from Penn Station and Madison Square Gardens.
Reasonable value, very quiet, good value.
