We wanted to get away from it all prior to the Christmas rush and decided to book ourselves into a country inn just outside the lovely market town of Helmsley, North Yorkshire.

The Inn at Hawnby is about 10 minutes drive from Helmsley in the delightful and quiet village of Hawnby. It offers several individually decorated bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, coffee and tea making facilities and very comfortable beds. The Inn also serves dinner in its restaurant if required.

Everyone is very friendly and the delicious breakfasts are a great way to start the day!

I would definitely recommend this place if you want a relaxing break in a very comfortable inn.
