Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

We were wedding guests at this clean and comfortable hotel near Crewe in Cheshire. It was easy to get to – being not far from J16 of the M6. Our bedroom was decorated to a high standard with en-suite bathroom, digital TV, hairdryer, trouser press, phone, free wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities. B&B was £57.50 for a double room with full english breakfast. Our room looked out over fields, was very quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Believe that all the accommodation was fully accessible. There were also family rooms available – although the hotel did not have any special play equipment in the garden. The food was attractively served and all the guests seemed to enjoy it. There was a good range of drinks including real ales (but not cheap!). The service was friendly, professional, efficient and very helpful. It was fortunate that the grounds had a variety of evergreen shrubs as backgrounds for the photography. If I were to criticise anything at all, it would be the lack of "features" in the garden for backdrops. All in all though, I would say that this independently-run hotel is ideal for a Civil Marriage Ceremony and the accommodation is good value for the money.
