We had a 12 day trip starting in Chicago and finishing in LA. Although my sister in law lives in LA and we were going to stay with her, we decided to book one night on Hollywood Boulevard for the experience. We were very pleased that we did. The atmosphere on the street is a bit crazy, and you are guaranteed to see some interesting characters. The hotel itself has an atmosphere of slightly faded grandeur, with lots of photos of film stars who have stayed there in years gone by. In the evening, we enjoyed sipping cocktails among the palm trees at the outdoor pool, even though the prices of the drinks was rather eye-watering! Our room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and it was definitely a memorable experience.
