The Hollow Bottom pub is located in Guiting Power in the Cotswolds. It is a typical Cotswold pub with honey coloured stone walls. It has two parts to the pub, one for race goers typically from the famous Cheltenham races. The other part is a gorgeous pub restaurant which feels quite classy. There are beams galore and it oozes character, and on every wall are pictures of numerous race horses jumping over fences. There is a good range of food options to suit all budgets and tastes. The pub had a notice that I read from an article included in a magazine, which said that everyone felt welcome at The Hollow Bottom, from grooms to jockeys to trainers to owners! The food selections supported this too. Lots to choose from for every taste and budget. We had come for a lunch with friends. I had fish and chips which were gorgeous and crispy, my husband had a lamb roast, my friend had Brie and cranberries, and her husband ham, egg and chips. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was great, the service good, and the ambiance delightful. Well worth a visit.
